Nigel Oxley

Nigel Oxley is Senior Lecturer in Etching and Drawing at London Metropolitan University. After graduating as a painting student from Camberwell School of Art and Crafts he became Cliff White’s assistant at White Ink Etching Studio, going on to become Director of Etching at Kelpra Studio where he worked with many internationally renowned artists and gained a reputation for complex, multi-colour/plate etchings. He is the author of ‘Colour Etching’ published by A&C Black.

    hey nigel, how’s things?
    Great to see that you’re so active, have just ordered your book on amazon. Looks fascinating. Do they have that magic use of carborundum ( is that the right name?). Am living in Berlin, where I’ve now been for 16 years, help time flies!, still busy drawing and printmaking, have twins born 2003 which kept me busy for a bit but am out there again and keen to set up collaborations with British artists. Am keen to get a space soon that can be used for drawing & printing workshops and temporary exhibitions ( have good contact to British Council here ).
