Joan Higgins

Joan Higgins is a book artist and printmaker, living in London. She graduated with an MA in Visual Art (Book Art) from Camberwell in 2019. She makes monoprints and small editions of artist books. She is a Social Scientist by background and her current work focuses upon the land and the ways in which locality and geography can shape industry and family life. She was working on a project about Iceland last year and made three books on Glacial Pools for the LOOP 2024 exhibition. For LOOP 2025 she is showing two books about her recent work in the Arctic Circle, one entitled ‘Writing in the blue sea’ and the other is ‘Lofoten’.
