Sandra Daniel draws inspiration from literature, history, and her surroundings, exploring and playing with shape, line, colour, and texture. She uses titles to provide context for her work, which serves as a form of protest. Her work ‘The Wonderful Game of a Banana Republic (TWGBR) is a poignant exploration of global social injustice, greed, power dynamics, and the ‘never-ending’ acts of racism.
Sandra studied textiles at Chelsea College of Art. She is a member of the Printmakers Council and her work is in the Prints & Drawings collections at the V&A Museum and Scarborough Museum Archive.
