Jackie studied Printmaking, and graduated from the State University of New York (Purchase) with a degree in Fine Art 1991.\u00a0Subsequently, she worked at a printmaking collective \u201cManhattan Graphics\u201d in New York City.\u00a0She later returned to the UK and was awarded an MA in printmaking from the Camberwell College of Arts in London.\u00a0Since then she has exhibited internationally both individually and with groups of other artists.<\/p>\n
In 1993, Jackie was elected a member of The Royal Society of Printmakers London.\u00a0She is currently a senior member of this organisation.<\/p>\n
Her work is influenced by ideas and impressions resulting from research and drawings in London and the metropolis.\u00a0Building and construction sites, where mechanical devices and architectural structures appear to be in a constant state of flux\u2019 provide a constant source of inspiration,<\/p>\n
Much of her recent work is taken from the Olympic Site in Stratford; Blackfriars Bridge; The Shard; And the Derricks at Battersea Power Station; depicting the formation of manmade structures which contrast against their surroundings.<\/p>\n
Examples of her work have been included in various books and publications on the subject of printmaking.<\/p>\n
She is co\u2013author of the Printmaking Handbook book.
