Sharon Low (Liu Guo Fei) is a British and Australian artist of Chinese Peranakan heritage.
\nIn her work she is fascinated by people: taking inspiration from the lives of those around her, particularly family and friends. In her practice Sharon Low uses printmaking, painting, drawing, mixed media and book arts, to explore the relationships and the inter-connectedness between current, past and future generations.<\/p>\n

In 2017 Sharon completed the MA Visual Arts: Printmaking at the Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts, London (UAL). Born in Sydney, Australia, Sharon studied fine art (painting and printmaking) at the National Art School and visual communication (design) at Sydney College of the Arts in Sydney, Australia.<\/p>\n

Other studies in the UK include the Diploma in Portraiture from The Heatherley School of Fine Art, short courses in life painting and drawing at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College, London (UCL), bookbinding and artist books at the City Literary Institute and Morley College.<\/p>\n

Prior to moving to London, Sharon Low was an artist, designer, illustrator, art and music teacher in Australia, where she also studied English literature and Education at the University of New England, and music education at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.<\/p>\n

Current research and work is in the fields of culture, society, identity and language, with a focus on migration and diaspora.<\/p>\n

Sharon Low is an Member of the Society of Women Artists (SWA), and she has also exhibited elsewhere as an member of the Lots Road Group, Chelsea Printmakers and the Portobello Artists Group.<\/p>\n
