Ann Norfield is an artist and teacher who has worked as an arts educator across all age groups. She is one of the founding members of East London Printmakers Studio, an artist-run studio collective in Mile End. She continues to both print her own, very varied work in the studio and loves running courses and teaching there. Her book \u2018Etching – an artist’s guide’ is published by Crowood.<\/p>\n

She has exhibited widely in the UK, including the RA Summer Exhibition, the International Original Print Exhibition and Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. Each year she helps organise the exhibition for Loop, a collective of printmaking artists and exhibits in the annual show with East London Printmakers. This year she showed her largest pieces with Whatshesaid at Thamesside Gallery in Terra Incognita.<\/p>\n

Her work is held in private collections, the University of Leicester, Victoria & Albert Museum, Brothers Grimm Museum, Kassel, Germany and the Fairy Tale Museum, Bad Oeynhausen, Germany.<\/p>\n

Ann uses a variety of media to express the tenuous nature of our hold on life. Her work concerns vulnerabilities and uncertainties, disintegrations and fractured security alongside our fundamental need to survive.<\/p>\n
