Sarah Cliff’s work explores the irony and darkness of the everyday, the domestic and the bodily. Her printed works are often combined with small made and found objects to form narrative installations.<\/p>\n

Cliff enjoys the dark, smoky, painterly properties of aquatint etching into which she collages images sourced from life drawings, made objects and photographs, and which are often inspired by historical and literary texts. She also works in
\nLetterpress, screen-print and photopolymer etching.<\/p>\n

In 2023 her work is exhibited at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair and in Doll, the House of Smalls. In 2022, she curated \u201cPrintmaking: Mystery and Method\u201d at Sevenoaks Kaleidoscope Gallery, exploring examples of all methods of printmaking
\nfrom guest artists and a call out, alongside workshops and a curator\u2019s talk.<\/p>\n

Cliff is a tutor on the West Dean College MFA program and at Ochre Print Studio where she was Artist in Residence thrughout 2018. She was awarded a MFA with distinction, University of Sussex, in 2017 and has a degree in Cultural Studies.<\/p>\n
