Sue Baker Kenton’s work is rooted in drawing and its making driven by analogue processes and material resistance. Her hand drawn etchings often reflect their relationship with time; in their subject, in their making and in their printed configurations. They arise from the close attention of habitual drawing and the act of noticing and evolve over an extended period. Their subjects inhabit a transitional space in which time is drawn out and suspended.
